I do not know the cut and dry numbers for the 'levels' of spyparty experience so you yourself will have to figure out what level you are at.ĥ. Play with people who are at your level - I know that this is said in the manual for the game, but I feel that it is important to re-iterate it. I for one do not like mentoring so don't be surprised when someone turns down your request to be mentored.Ĥ. This is good experience for the new player but is sometimes not that fun for the experienced player. Not everyone Mentors - Mentoring is when an experienced player plays with an inexperienced player to help the new player understand the game and get better at it. So remember that you can also use the Lobby just to talk to people in the community.ģ. Checker did a good job in making the messaging system in the Lobby and sometimes, people just want to talk to other people in our community about relevant and irrelevant like Sniper theory crafting and DiveKick. People sometimes just want to hang out in the lobby and are not looking for some matches to play - While this may seem strange to people who are new to the game, the Lobby is used as the 'chat room' for the community. The invited person may have been in the middle of a conversation with someone or they might just be practicing something in the practices mode and forgot to set themselves to away.Ģ.
Ask the person if they want to play some games with you before inviting them - While it may seem that inviting the person to play is asking them to play, the problem arises when the invited persons screen is completely filled up by the invitation.

I have also posted this on the beta forums which will be the primary one that I will be updating until someone bugs me enough to update is one also (if I can). I am not versed in using Reddit so don't be surprised if this is looks really ugly. Just remember that this is geared to new players that do not know what is "common" in Spyparty yet, so Etiquette between experienced players is not something that needs to be added to the list.Īs per Drawnonwards request, I am also posting this on Spyparty's Reddit. Who knows, if either people start doing your suggestion it might just become common place and be added to the list. I would like to keep the list as common practices in the lobby but that should not stop anyone from discussing Etiquette practices that you think should be in the lobbies.

Feel free to suggest other etiquette practices that is missing from the List and even correct me on things on the List that I got wrong. While the presentation of these rules may hold some authority, every single one of them is subject to change as our community grows and as the game changes. While none of these are hard and fast rules, I feel that it will be good for new players to understand the common practices of using the SpyParty lobbies.
